Cow Shechita report welcomed
Shechita UK has welcomed the Government’s final response to the Farm Animal Welfare Council’s Report on the Welfare of Animals at Slaughter, in particular its strong commitment to respect the right of the Jewish community to continue shechita in the UK.

The Board of Deputies has welcomed Jon Benjamin as its new Director General. The former Chief Executive of British ORT has now officially taken up his new position, following the announcement of his appointment in September 2004 and the retirement of Neville Nagler.
